Andrea McWilliams Makes a Difference In Texas Politics

Andrea McWilliams is a passionate and skilled lobbyist and political fundraiser who has been featured on several major news outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CNN, NPR and BBC. She is also a political commentator and has been called a consigliere to the powerful and political” by the Texas Women’s Chamber of Commerce. In 2017, McWilliams was the only lobbyist to be profiled with the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Speaker of the House in the POWER issue of Texas Monthly.

Andrea McWilliams has also received the Profiles in Power award from the Austin Business Journal and was named the 2016 Texas Businesswoman of the Year by the Texas Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She also received the Woman of Distinction Award from the Girl Scouts of Central Texas the the Austin Under 40 Award, and was honored with the Style Setter award by Austin Fashion Week. She has also made the All Star list for the Austin American Statesman Fortunate 500 several times.

McWilliams has the impressive distinction of becoming Chief of Staff at just 21 years of age, and has since worked to improve her grassroots and private sector skills. She previously worked with PR firm Public Strategies, Inc. and is not the cofounder of McWilliams, a full service firm for political clients that she runs with her husband Dean.

Andrea McWilliams was raised just minutes from Congress Avenue where the Texas Capitol is located, and now lives in Old Enfield with her husband and three children. She is a well-known philanthropist and volunteers in her community.
